Additional Benefits for Children to Attend a Child Care Program

A child care program acts as a foundation in preparing your child for transitioning from pre-primary to primary school. However, these days, parents are quite confused whether to send their child to a child care program. But the fact is that these facilities offer several benefits to children that prove to be quite meaningful during their later stages of life. During the early phase of life, children undergo different stages of growth and development, so good quality and regular child care can leave immensely beneficial effects on your child’s overall development. Children have a very sharp memory at tender age and hence the right knowledge and experience inculcated at this tender age can be of great significance in their adult life. Thus, the child care program that focuses on play and structured activities can help the children develop positively.

Various indoor activities that keep the child engrossed include puzzle games, building blocks play dough and clay, craft and pasting and sensory games, while the outdoor activities include, water play, digging sand pits, climbing and playing on swings, carpentry and enjoying the open landscape. These activities improve their thinking, visualizing and exploring abilities as well.

Besides there are various other benefits for children to attend a child care program:
  1. Social development: It is rightly said, ‘Man is a Social Animal’ and so it is. Developing relationships is the most vital element for living with others in the society. When the child attends child care facility during his early years, it helps him build relationship with other unknown children which later form the basic essence of living during their adulthood. Not just this, it develops a sense of security within the child and he starts feeling comfortable in a new environment with known people around. Thus, the child becomes socially active and believes in sharing.
  2. Better Communication skills: In a child care, your child will develop better communication skills as he would be interacting with other children and teachers in the facility. They learn to help other children and take help from teachers and other children around. This way they learn the language of love, they have better idea about other children needs and desires, and eventually develop a helping attitude towards the society as an adult.
  3. Cognitive development: A child’s cognitive development is greatly influenced by consistent child care program. A good quality childcare program ensures the right curricula for children from early years till they reach 5 years or age, thereby embedding appropriate cognitive skills at the perfect age. Story reading, identifying colors and writing alphabets to form words are a few cognitive skills they develop at a tender age. The existing knowledge and skills of a child are further enhanced by helping them acquire new skills and information through high quality childcare programs conducted at the facilities.
  4. Developing language: Children have a great ability to learn languages from age 1 to 5 years. In a secure and friendly environment with known people around, children tend to engage in appropriate and frequent conversations which help vocabulary development and better spoken skills. Regular group discussions, songs and loud story reading help better language development in children.
  5. Improved self-confidence: Self confidence is a key to success. With overall development, the child is bound to improve his confidence in his abilities and knowledge which helps the transition to higher classes much easy.

Thanks for pointing out that children tend to engage in appropriate conversations in a friendly environment which helps vocabulary development. My husband and I are very busy with work so we cannot monitor our two kids. With this, we are hoping to find a child daycare center on Monday where they can be encouraged to grow and learn in a safe environment.

I've been really busy, and I want to make sure that my son gets the attention that he needs. It makes sense that the right childcare services would be beneficial. That seems like a good way to ensure that he gets plenty of attention.

Thank you for pointing out how your child can gain more skills in communicating when they're part of a childcare program. I've been wondering if we should be sending our kids to daycare. I'll be sure to bring this up with my husband while we're considering our options.
