Hello, my name is Bekka Garbry. I hold a degree in Early Childhood, and have been in the field for 8 years. I started working at TSL-Syracuse in October of 2022 and obtained the position as Lead Infant Teacher. During the school breaks and summers, I also work as the Program Coordinator for the school age program.
Teaching is not just my job, but my hobby and passion. To be able to have a job in education makes me feel so honored and lucky. I am caring, patient, understanding - all characteristics that I find necessary and important in this position. I encourage my students to ask questions, take risks, and overcome the fear of making mistakes, as this is all part of the learning process! As a teacher, I value my students and appreciate their trust. I believe that building rapport and providing a comfortable, but challenging, environment for their growth as part of my main responsibility.
I love teaching and having the opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives. Teaching, to me, is one of the most rewarding jobs a person can do, especially when I get to see them grow and develop into their own personalities.
