TSL Adventures summer day
camp started in spirit a number of years ago when its teachers and partners Thomas Styles, Shameka Brown-Johnson,
and Lynette Smith forged a professional relationship and friendship while attending the College of Saint Rose together.
After several years of teaching and directing academic and social programs together the partners decided to give
their most recent and highly touted Summer Arts & Education program, established at a local private school
in Niskayuna, company status. TSL Adventures redefined the Summer Arts and Education program by adding weeks, children,
and ideas. Rooted in the ideals of cooperative learning and peer support, TSL builds character, hampers competition,
and excites its participants with unique activities, games, crafts, and educational opportunities led by an experienced
team that together holds eight degrees, eight teaching certifications and over thirty years of combined experience.
The benefits of enrolling children in the TSL program include experienced, driven, nurturing, and enthusiastic
teachers, and unique cooperative based and hands on programs that include a high level of teacher involvement.
This is a huge difference from other recreational programs
TSL promises a small caring summer program community at each site. A weekly schedule is provided on each Monday
and provides a day by day, hour by hour break down of our week so that parents know exactly what kinds of activities
will be done. TSL teachers work closely with children with every activity monitoring, directing, teaching, and
playing right along the whole time. It is our biggest fun.
TSL offers science, reading, drama, cooperative games, cooking, singing, water play, walks for special treats,
and a host of other fun and enriching activities all at one place. One thing is for sure, with our schedule and
fixed location, parents will know where their children are and what their children are doing every second of the
day. |
