2014 Summer Themes 2014

Welcome to TSL Adventures unique day camp experience. Though you are welcome to register for any number of weeks, TSL's impact is most felt by children who experience multiple weeks with us. For those of you who are new to our family consider a minimum of two of weeks so we have time to build a relationship with your child and your family.

Week 1 Cartoons June 30-July 3 (No session on July 4)
Campers will explore the world of classic and popular cartoons by participating in a variety of games, crafts, projects and activities. From Scooby Doo to Spongebob Squarepants the campers are going to be cartoon crazy by the end of the week.

Week 2 Sports July 7-11
Enough said. TSL favors alternative games and activities as opposed to mainstream sports in its preparation, but this week will be an exception as we invite campers to engage in a variety of sandlot games to include wiffle ball, soccer, and tag football among others. Batter up!

Week 3 Rock n' Rhythm July 14-18
TSL will take full advantage of this theme by rockin out all week. Campers will dance, sing, swing and bust a move as they engage in a variety of games and activities that integrate music and dance.

Week 4 Take the Challenge July 21-25
TSL prides itself on building community within the group. We do this with a specialized program that emphasizes teamwork and cooperative play over competitive activities. This week we will engage the children in a variety of challenges that call for small and large groups to work together to solve a problem or accomplish a task. Children will learn that it is healthier to work together as opposed to working to be better than everyone else at a given task.

Week 5 Celebration July 28-August 1
TSL will honor the various year round occasions that give great cause for joy and celebration in our daily lives. From a lost tooth to a birthday bash campers will be partying all week long.

Week 6 Underwater August 4-8
TSL's returns to its annual water themed week this week this year with an array of water games and projects that explore underwater life, and water in general, as a theme. Children should be dressed for wet this week!

Week 7 Monster Mash August 11-15
Who doesn't love a cuddly monster? Campers will explore the mad monster world this week. We'll look at monsters of all kinds through a variety of crafts, projects and learning tasks. It will be a regular monster mania this week.

Week 8 Hollywood Aug 18-22
Campers will get their own star on the TSL walk of fame this week as we delve into the heart of Hollywood with this unique theme. Lights, cameras, action! Campers will be the stars all week long.

Week 9 Great Outdoors Aug 25-29
Campers will be invited to explore the great outdoors in creating a bird hide, mapping out a nature trail, and becoming familiar with the animals and creatures that can be found as we explore the natural and beautiful outdoor world.

Week 10 Out of the Box Sept 2-5
(no session on Sept 1)
(This is an extra week used if needed)

This week will be all about boxes. Campers will be invited to engage in a variety of games, projects and activities all of which will involve boxes of all shapes and sizes. "Life is like a box of?." You be the judge.

TESTIMONIALS:

"I have to tell you how tremendously pleased I have been with the whole TSL experience. The kids really love going every day that they have attended, and they love telling me about all of the amazing and cool things they do and learn every day. They have made some wonderful new friends and have insisted from day one that they want to go to TSL every summer from now on. As a parent, I love knowing that my kids are happy and safe and learning every day when I can't be with them. It gives me such a peace of mind. Thank you for that. Keep up the great work!"

--Rebecca B.

"You guys have such a quality program that it eases some of the "working parent guilt." Is there some type of award we can nominate you for? It is a great model and more programs should follow suit!"

--Jennifer L.
