The Beginning
TSL Adventures was established in 2008 by College of Saint Rose alumni’s and full time elementary school teachers
who envisioned a program that could fill the summer gap and provide a unique recreational environment that also
contributed to the child’s cognitive and social-emotional development. Their primary mission was to bring a team
of educators together in order to host a professional yet fun and exciting summer program rooted in the philosophies
of cooperative and highly interactive play.
The partners soon learned in obtaining a contractual agreement with a local private school that this mission translated
with much popularity into the before and after school setting as well. Redefining childcare year round soon became
the group’s platform.
The Mission Evolves
Togetherness, Sharing, and Learning Childcare Inc, is an extension of TSL Adventures in its mission to provide
quality and distinctive childcare services to children. In their efforts to secure a foundation on which to maximize
growth in the Capital Region their provision of quality childcare services stretched a little further to offer
full time service that would encompass the youngest of children in childcare settings today.
In the daycare setting infants, toddlers and preschoolers thrive with the affection, attention, knowledge and professionalism
of their lead and support teachers, as well as their director. In a beautifully modern, bright and spacious environment
that is warm, family-like, stimulating, and exploratory, children reach developmental milestones on their early
childhood journey.
In the afterschool and summer setting school age children learn social skills, teamwork, and acceptance in a highly
motivational and enriching setting that offers a higher level of teacher interaction and role modeling.
Looking Ahead: The mission continues
Today, children ages infant through school age benefit from exceptional childcare, the provision of which is and
always will be one of the chief goals of the partners as they seek additional locations for their after school
programs, grow and maintain their exceptional daycare, and continue their popular and enriching summer programs.
As well, the group looks forward to extending their mission into the more formalized educational setting by adding
a Kindergarten to their daycare program. The provision of exclusive educational and childcare services to families
of the Capital Region is the long term goal of the group’s journey. |
