TESTIMONIALS:
"I have three children
who attended the Saint Helen?s Summer Arts program 2008. When asking the children about the day camp program, they
immediately exclaimed how much fun it was. They learned new games and songs. Had a blast in the outdoor sprinklers.
They enjoyed mini field trips, worked on a play/presentation, made tie-dye t-shirts and many new friends.
Being new to the community, this was an encouraging step for us into the Saint Helens family.
When exploring options for summer programs, a parent takes many issues into consideration. I was happy to find
the program to be run by a fifth grade teacher at Saint Helen?s School. His profile including education and experience
were provided for all to review. The school is conveniently located. The cost is reasonable. The hours are flexible
enough for working parents. Overall a good deal.
After experiencing the program, it became quickly reassuring that this was a good choice. There is a strict sign
in /sign out policy. The program is limited in size. This enables the staff to keep better track of the children,
especially at pick up time. There was substantial organization in effect, back-up plans for rainy weather days.
Good communication like flyers for upcoming events and availability of staff for questions/concerns. Parental feedback
was requested, encouraged and respected.
Also, my middle school aged son was given the opportunity to be a teacher?s helper. This fostered his growth in
learning responsibility. We are thankful to have been a part of this summer experience. My children have
made friends with others who share in the same beliefs. We look forward to supporting the future success of the
Saint Helen?s Summer Arts Programs."
